I have degrees in Early Education
and the Art of Printmaking from London University, which prepared me for years of teaching young children in London, UK, Cambridge,
UK, Berkley, CA, and Durham, NC.
My desire to create has been with me from a very early age. I have for years
made jewelry as gifts for family and friends. Fandangles, the jewelry part of my business was thus created and I began to
sell some pieces in local boutiques.
During the 3 years that we lived in Kenya, Africa, my creations were greatly
influenced by the colorful beaded jewelry, hand painted fabrics, and woven basketry of the Kenyan women. Working with some
of the local tribal women, I learned a few of their skills.
The desire to incorporate fabrics and jewelry
in some way was always in the back of my mind. And so the Franbag was created.
I am married and have 3 children.
